Welder

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our Knowsley site. In this role, you will be essential to the team, manufacturing quality steel fencing components and gates while ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to company standards.

What You’ll Do:

Manufacturing and Fabrication

• Manufacture steel fence components and gates, fabricating with precision using saws, grinders, and punch machines.
• Perform MIG welding and repairs on mesh fencing to meet company specifications.

Equipment Operation and Safety

• Operate welding equipment and tools safely and efficiently, following all health and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and wear appropriate protective gear at all times.

Technical Interpretation and Assembly

• Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics, ensuring accurate and quality assembly of all products.
• Conduct sanding and grinding to remove splatter and optimize component fit for further finishing.

Quality Control and Maintenance

• Monitor welding processes to prevent shrinkage, distortion, or imperfections, ensuring each weld has a strong joint and cosmetic finish.
• Maintain and report any issues with equipment, ensuring all tools are functioning properly.

Requirements:

• Experience: Prior welding experience is preferred, especially with MIG welding techniques and equipment.
• Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Attention to Detail: Strong precision skills to ensure quality and accuracy in all work.
• Reliability: Dependable and punctual, with a commitment to working effectively in a team.
• Flexibility: Availability to work overtime when needed.
